Our History
Established in 1944, the history of Ambassador Apparel is rooted in local manufacturing of high-quality, fit for purpose garments. What began as a small family business by Frank Chahoud and his siblings in the back streets of Belmore in Sydney, eventually grew into a manufacturing and wholesale powerhouse, servicing large government agencies, high profile corporate customers, schools and the creation one of Australia’s biggest fashion brands, Zambelli.
Today, Frank’s sons Lawrence and Matt Chahoud continue with the family business, forging in new technologies and creating offshore manufacturing partners that offer the same quality and standard that once dominated the Australian local scene.
